Welcome to Catalonia! Your adventure starts in the lovely city of Girona. Once you arrive, you'll check into your hotel and get settled in. To make your trip from Barcelona easier, we're providing a private transfer directly to Girona, so you can arrive without any stress. In the afternoon, a member of our team will meet you personally to give you a quick overview of the trip, share the important details, and hand over your rental bikes, making sure you have everything you need. Depending on when you get here, you can either take a guided walking tour of Girona or explore it on your own. You'll discover its charming streets, historical sites, and unique mix of old and new. In the evening, you can treat yourself to the delicious food of Catalonia at local restaurants, enjoying traditional dishes and regional wines. As morning arrives, your first incredible cycling journey begins! Prepare for a stunning ride to the beautiful coastal town of Platja d’Aro, as you cycle along some of Catalonia’s most spectacular routes. Leaving Girona behind, you’ll quickly notice that many professional cyclists train on these amazing roads, highlighting the region's strong cycling culture. Get ready for a memorable day of exploring and riding as you head towards Platja d’Aro, where adventure and relaxation are waiting for you. Your adventure starts with the exciting climb up Sant Grau, a memorable ascent that rewards you with sweeping views of the green mountains and the sparkling sea below. Take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a lovely coffee break in the peaceful courtyard of the monastery. As you cycle down the mountain, you’ll soon arrive in the charming town of Tossa de Mar, which boasts a beautiful castle, a captivating old town, a lively marina, and inviting sandy beaches. Your ride continues along the path, bringing you to the delightful Sant Feliu de Guíxols, a place you definitely won't want to miss. And just when you think it can't get any better, you’ll reach the lively coastal center of S’Agaró – Platja d’Aro, a well-known highlight of the Costa Brava that offers a wide range of tourist attractions. Get ready for an unforgettable day of exploration and cycling as you make your way to Platja d’Aro, where adventure and relaxation await.

Girona to Platja d'Aro - 84Km - 1.565m+
Today, you have the option to embark on a thrilling ride through the Gavarres Protected Natural Area, a real treat for anyone who loves cycling. This stage offers a fantastic chance to tackle three well-known climbs, each with its own special character and appeal for cyclists. As you ride, keep an eye out for professional cyclists who live in the Girona area – you might just spot some! Your exciting ride begins with the climb of Alt de la Ganga. While it's not too difficult, it's a lovely way to start the day's cycling adventures. This climb smoothly links the beautiful coast with the peaceful and charming countryside, setting the scene for a memorable experience. As you cycle away from the busy town, you'll gradually make your way towards Alt de Santa Pellaia. On your route, be sure to look out for the Ermita de San Juan de Salelles, a beautiful little church nestled in the heart of this tranquil landscape. With its timeless beauty and peaceful surroundings, the hermitage is a perfect place to stop and appreciate the natural beauty of the Gavarres massif. From this viewpoint, you'll be rewarded with stunning vistas that are sure to impress you. The grand finale of today’s ride is the ascent of Puig d’Arques, the steepest and most challenging climb of the day. Platja d'Aro - Torroella de Montgrí - 87Km - 1.250m+
Get ready to discover the wild beauty of the Costa Brava coastline, aptly called "Brava" for its rugged charm. As you start your ride, you'll cycle through the lovely fishing village of Palamós, where the clear waters of La Fosca cove offer a perfect spot for a refreshing break. Continuing north, the charming village of Calella de Palafrugell awaits you. It's often considered one of the most beautiful fishing towns on the Costa Brava. Torroella de Montgrí to Girona - 75Km - 1.015m+
Starting your ride from the delightful town of Torroella, you'll embark on a journey through a captivating landscape dotted with medieval treasures, all along quiet back roads lined with thriving apple orchards. Take your time to discover these historical gems, each one full of unique charm and whispers of the past. Ullastret invites you to travel back in time with its fortified old town, a true reminder of a former era. In Palau-Sator, the prominent clock tower stands tall, representing the town’s rich history. The enchanting village of Pals, often considered the jewel of the Costa Brava's medieval towns, welcomes you to stroll its cobblestone streets and soak in its timeless atmosphere. Peratallada, with its impressive town walls and winding lanes, vividly brings history to life, while Monells charms with its beautiful main square, where you can experience the magic of days gone by. For the grand finish, you'll climb the famous Els Àngels ascent, a perfect end to your adventure. As your amazing trip draws to a close, today is your departure day. After one last breakfast, you'll check out of your accommodation and begin your journey home, taking with you the incredible experiences and treasured memories from your cycling adventure. However, before you leave, make sure to spend some time exploring the captivating city center of Girona. Located in the heart of Catalonia, Girona offers a rich mix of history, culture, and lively atmosphere. Start with the Girona Cathedral, a stunning Gothic building that offers panoramic city views and houses the historic Creation Tapestry. Wander through the Jewish Quarter (El Call), one of the best-preserved in Europe, with its narrow winding streets and the interesting Museum of Jewish History. The Rambla de la Llibertat is ideal for a relaxed walk or watching people go by, with its cafes and shops where you can try local Catalan food. Cross the Eiffel Bridge over the Onyar River for beautiful views, and step back in time at the 12th-century Arab Baths (Banys Àrabs) with their peaceful Moorish-inspired design.
